An audit-ready report is a fully completed roof survey, internal and external photography, a panel data sheet, and the PV panel layout, produced independently of the installer carrying out the work. For flat roofs, it extends to the mounting kit design and ballast loadings, exactly the detail an auditor will ask about first. The independence matters as much as the content: a report produced by someone with no stake in whether the job goes ahead carries more weight than a self-assessment, both to an auditor and, if it ever came to it, to an insurer.
