Operations & maintenance (O&M) manual (design stage)
Design-stage O&M manuals for solar PV and battery storage installations–structured for handover, written to be useful.
What is a design-stage O&M manual?
An O&M manual is the document that hands the system over from the design and install team to whoever will run and maintain it for the next twenty-five years. Done well, it’s a working reference that reduces downtime, simplifies maintenance, and protects the asset’s performance. Done badly, it’s a folder that sits in a cupboard and never gets opened.
We produce design-stage O&M manuals that are structured for handover and written to be used.
What our manuals cover
Every BMG O&M manual includes:
- As-designed system overview
- Equipment schedules and technical datasheets
- Electrical operation philosophy
- Maintenance requirements and access provisions
Handover-ready document structure (installation records excluded)
Request a quoteWritten for the people who will actually use it
Most O&M manuals are written to satisfy a contractual requirement, but ours are written for the maintenance engineer, the facilities manager, or the asset owner who’ll be looking at the system in year seven, year fifteen, year twenty-three. That changes everything about how the document is structured, what’s included, how it’s organised, and how easy it is to find the answer to a question under pressure.
